A note from Marilyn Marcum Looney via e-mail to the History mailbox

I am very glad that there is a project to do this. St Boniface should be remembered. My family, and my mother’s family were long time parishioners. My parents are Wayne and Eleanor Marcum, and my grandparents were Charles and Antoinette Buese. Antoinette’s family were the Schlichtig’s. All of the children in these families attended St. Boniface grade school and were all long time active members of the parish.

My grandmother was active in the Quilting Club, and worked many a fall festival booth, until she broke her hip and was housebound. My parents were active with the scouts, bingos and other parish projects. One of the last things my father did was repair work on a couple of the stained glass windows in the church.
